David Christopher Barham (January 8, 1873-March 4, 1947) was the first leader of the Socialist Republic of England, who helped modernize the standard country's industries and rebuild its infrastructure after the Socialist Revolution. He was one of the most noted socialists of his day and is often referred to as "the last great socialist," as he was the only leader in world history to build an effective model of communist rule. Barham was the Chairman of the English Socialist Party from 1920 to 1934, and was the Chief Executive and Premier of England from 1922 to 1934. London's chief airport was referred to as Barham Airfield from 1925 to 1957 in his honor, and London still has a Barham Street that runs past the old Socialist Party headquarters.
