Maksim Chmerkovskiy (b. 1980) is a Ukrainian Ballroom dancer and choreographer, best known as one of the professional dancers on the television series Dancing with the Stars, on which he first appeared in season two. "The Bad Boy of the Ballroom", as he is known on the show, was featured backstage with Miss Piggy on the 2009 season nine finale, where he provided the pig with a backrub. Among Chmerkovskiy's dancing partners on the show are Debi Mazar, Denise Richards, Spice Girl Mel B, Olympic gold-medalist Misty May-Treanor, Brandy, and Muhammad Ali's daughter Laila Ali.
