Jack Chapman was a U.S. army major who served as lieutenant Preston Packard's right hand man. Nothing if known about his past life except that he has a son named Billy. After an attack by kong , Chapman's helicopter crashed into a tree but he managed to survive. He later witnessed Kong eating a huge squid. He later fought a bore mantis but then it backed down.
