Mr. Duarte is a character in the Dexter Book Series that Dexter Morgan mentions in his mind shortly in Darkly Dreaming Dexter, as one of his previous victims. The following quote is taken from page 117 of the mass-produced version: I thought about the nice clothes I always wear. Well of course I did. I took pride in being the best-dressed monster in Dade County. Yes, certainly, he chopped up that nice Mr. Duarte, but he was so well dressed!
