Ed is a vice detective who is obsessed with anything to do with the television show "Miami Vice" to the point of modeling his appearance after the show's co-star Detective James "Sonny" Crockett and living in a small but lavish apartment, aspects of his lifestyle which he admits he has difficulty affording on the salary of a vice cop.
