Adventures in Springfield is a spinoff to The Simpsons. Instead of being based off the family, it is based off the major, secondary, and reoccurring character's lives. Although the Simpsons themselves still appear in mostly every episode and still have major roles, their roles as main characters have been toned down (although Homer appears in every episode with at least a minor roll)
