The Ring of Malin's Folk, known as the Ring of Accretion, had been given to Malin III by disguised ambassadors of Sauron. Malin who initially did not know the ring came from Sauron, passed it on to his heirs. The ring was believed to have been devoured by a Dragon who slew Malin's heir as he defended the gates of Baraz-lagil.
