Fredrick Cooper was a Colonel with the United States Marine Corps and the main murder victim in Sandblast (episode) who was also scheduled to ship out to Iraq for presumably eighteen months with Frederick also planning to go into teaching full-time which would enable him to spend more time with his wife and son, Josh. Tragically, Colonel Cooper's life and plans for retirement came to an end when he was killed by a hidden bomb in a sandtrap at a golf course while playing golf with his son, Josh.
