They also released a limited range of Thomas and Friends merchandise in OO scale which were carbon copies of the Hornby models, just with Märklin compatible couplings a design made to work with Märklin's C track that possesses a third rail. Because of copyright reasons, they were only available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, however they did leak out to other countries. The range was only released in 2006 and were discontinued shortly afterwards.
