Quentia (Quentian: Qüentzia), officially known as the Republic of Quentia (Rêpública de Qüentzia), is a Southern European country consisting of an archipelago situated in the Atlantic Ocean, and it shares maritime border with Spain to the east and Portugal to the southeast. Its name derives from the Quentian ancient word 'qenrae' —today 'quenro'—, which means 'crab'. The country's name could be translated as 'islands of the crabs' or the 'land of the crabs'. It is not known when the islands gained this name, but it is likely to have been around 100 BCE, during the Roman occupation.
