A Carrack-class light cruiser is a small combat cruiser that served as an integral part of the Imperial Navy. The ship is heavily armed, sporting 10 heavy Turbolasers and 20 Ion Cannons. The ship also is protected by heavy armor. Because the Carrack Cruiser has no docking bay, the ship uses external racks to carry five TIE Fighters. Grand Admiral Tharwn used 22 of these ships in his fleet during the Battle of Sluis Van.
