The MQA-45 MAKO UCAV, commonly known as "Black Lightning", was a UNSC and Insurrectionist UAV. First developed in 2495 for the UNSC by Boeing Aerospace, the MAKO served until 2510, when it was phased out in lieu of the F99 Wombat, a new UCAV with much better capabilities than the MAKO, rendering the MQA-45 obsolete. This led to many of the drone being scrapped, and therefore falling into Insurrectionist hands from the Outer Colonies' black market of old military equipment. It became one of the main symbols of the Insurrection, alongside the M262 Light Machine Gun "Confetti Maker", with so many of them falling into rebel hands all across the galaxy. The drones were mainly used on Victoria, at Camp New Hope, Mamore, and Eridanus, the three main hotspots of the Insurrection, to some effect. T
