Morris played 135 games over a five year period from 1944 to 1949 in the National Hockey League for the Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Rangers. He scored 13 goals and added 29 assists for 42 points. He won a Stanley Cup in 1945 with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He played junior hockey for the Toronto Marlboros from 1937 to 1941. In 1941-42 he played for the senior Marlboros and in 1942-43 he played for the senior Toronto Navy team.
