Anic was a planet in the Anic system in the Mid Rim. It was colonized by a mining company which opened several mines on the world. Playing no part in galactic politics until the rise of the Galactic Empire, Anic was the site of a brief battle between the Imperials and a group of undercover Rebel Alliance operatives shortly before the Battle of Yavin. While the Empire managed to route the agents, some of the Rebels escaped offworld.
