A battle army was a significantly large infantry unit. In the Grand Army of the Republic, battle armies consisted of four corps, totaling 147,456 clone troopers, and were commanded only by the most high-ranking individuals. During the First Battle of Geonosis, the Republic sent two full battle armies to the planet under the command of Jedi Masters Yoda and Mace Windu, totaling 294,912 troopers, 192,000 of which were deployed in battle.
