The Arachnoids are monstrosities that infest the subterranean labyrinth called "The Web" under the isle of Warburg as well as sections of Grandville. Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. Arachnoids are part of Project Fury as discovered during Dr. Forrester's mission arc of the same name. They are former Arachnos soldiers "volunteered" for a super-soldier program. They are injected with "venom" from Lord Recluse himself, causing horrible mutations at the reward of immense strength and capabilities. Some have their vocal capabilities "removed", presumably to prevent the release of the knowledge of their origin!
