The Chorley Pipe Band comprises a traditional solo Highland bagpiper who piped bride Carla Connor down the aisle with the tune of The Skye Boat Song to awaiting groom Tony Gordon just prior to the beginning of their marriage ceremony in December 2008. After the happy couple were joined in matrimony, they walked down the aisle to the piper's rendition of When the Battle is Over. Finally, during the reception, the piper was heard to be playing Highland Laddie and The Green Hills of Tyrol.
