Aijou is a former Vice Admiral who was a promonate figure in the Gol D. Rodger era. Aijou is the adoptive father of former Admiral and current pirate Shiawase. He was selected at the young age of eight to become a CP9 agent. Upon completing his training it was determined that he didn't have the heart to be an assassin. At the age of fifteen he then join the marines where he quickly rose up the ranks to become a Vice Admiral. Later he was executed by Sengoku for conspiring against the World Government. He took the blame for his adoptive son Shiawase in order to save his life. Sengoku allowed him to were he marine uniform to his execution for his many years of constant service in the marines.
