Energy Work is a one of many arts of magic. Matter is merely a form of energy, all objects generate fields of energy that may be tapped into, and energy may be drawn from other planes for various purposes. By working with these energies (generally by visualizing flowing streams of colored light and working them into various shapes), almost any magical effect can be achieved. Most practitioners have difficulty working more than very basic effect through energy work without coupling it with another method. Most, if not all, forms of magic are simply facilitators of energy work, and the visualization of energy is key to most of them.
