I must say, when I was told crime doesn’t pay, I didn’t think this is what they meant. It’s a trivial expression, it's one of those short simple phrases that have jammed down your throat ever since you were able to comprehend them (remember the DARE program? etc. etc.). I remember sitting through what seemed to be days of some guy in a jumpsuit and a shiny badge showing picture after picture of first a normal guy. Next would be some form of drug (something you as a kid, might never have even known of until that moment). And what I saw was something straight out of a cult film.
