Shorty Gibbs is a former NASCAR driver from Greenville, SC. He competed in two Sprint Cup Series events in his career. All of those races came in 1952, when Gibbs debuted at North Wilkesboro. Brake problems early in the event left him 13th and he didn't improve upon that in the other event. Early engine woes at Martinsville left him last (22nd).
