The XM1 Plasma Cannon, also known as the Papa Charlie to its operators, is an experimental weapon employed by the UNSC. It is a medium-scale weapon, and is designed to be used on heavy ground vehicles, small starships, and starfighters, most prominently the C3 Talon. It is useful in various types of combat, including air-to-air, air-to-surface, surface-to-surface, and in certain conditions surface-to-air. It is widely liked for its ability though it is only three quarters as efficient as its Covenant counterparts.
