Wallace “Wally” Butts was the 20th head coach of the University of Georgia Bulldogs college football team and served in that role from 1939 to 1960. He compiled a 140–86–9 record (.615 winning percentage). Butts played his college football at Mercer University under Bernie Moore. Coaching Summary
