False labor is a condition that females undergo during pregnancy in which they experience contractions before they are ready to deliver their child. In 2378, B'Elanna Torres woke up early in the morning on the USS Voyager and told her husband, Tom Paris, that their child was coming. The two went to sickbay and The Doctor scanned Torres with a medical tricorder. He found that she was experiencing false labor, which was common in Klingon-Human pregnancies. She experienced the condition at least three times before finally giving birth. (VOY: "Endgame")
