Dame Eliska Paderweski was a Manticoran citizen, former Royal Manticoran Marine Corps officer, and politician. She was a member of the Marine Corps until she was wounded by a Silesian pirate. On medical leave she discovered a talent for administration. In the 1880s PD, she served as King Roger III's chief of staff, and was also on the inner council of Elizabeth III following the King's death. (HHA2.3: QG)
