James Candless Memorial Field was a baseball stadium in Harrington Steading on the planet Grayson, and the home field of the Harrington Treecats. It was named after James Candless, a Harrington armsman who gave his life in defense of his steadholder. The stadium could hold over sixty thousand people. There was a ventilation system carefully designed to exactly recreate the wind conditions outside the crystoplast dome covering the stadium. During baseball games, the planetary flag of Grayson was flown from the top of one of the two foul poles, while the Harrington flag flew from the other.
