Hydrogen Gas goes not have a special chemical name. We do not have special names for denoting any particular state of an element. We may have common names which of course is hydrogen gas. Hydrogen gas is denoted in molecular form as H2. It exists in the atmosphere in a a molecule that comprises of 2 atoms of Hydrogen which is denoted as H. So two atoms are implied by the digit 2.
