Titans are a sub-species of humanity in Paragon comics. Certain humans are secretly ancestors of mythological figures from all around the world, and an event known as 'the happening' has resulted in everyday people inheriting special powers from their god, being known as Titans. It is unknown what the gods originally were, whether spiritual beings or aliens or something else entirely, but these powers have now passed down into new hosts. Why all these powers are being inherited at the same time is unknown, but it has been predicted in ancient texts.
