After talking with Mel Odious, the player finds out that she is the lead singer of SimValley's local band, The Germinators. The band is currently disbanded until Vera can find other musicians. The player tries to join, but is tasked with proving his/her worth by acquiring a guitar, improving his/her creativity and finding a place for the band to practice. Succeeding in joining the band opens the Jam Session minigame at Club Rubb.
