The Malfoy Secret is a novel length fanfic currently being written. It is set roughly a month after The Battle of Hogwarts (May 31, 1998), and follows the Malfoy family through their struggles in the post-war wizarding world. It explores how society is capable of out-casting and isolating those who are viewed as permanent criminals and are considered generally toxic to the recovery of a large community. While we see the rebuilding of the wizarding world, we also see how a family collapses upon itself while adjusting to the new way of life, coping with loss, dealing with post-traumatic stress, and also re-discovering some old skeletons hidden in the closet that breaks free during one of the lower points in the Malfoys lives.
