Around thirty days after Emergence Day, Moreno was part of the effort to defend the city of Halvo Bay from a huge Locust assault. Moreno was stationed in downtown Halvo Bay and was killed after getting cornered by a cleaver-wielding Locust in the parade grounds. Moreno's COG Tag was later recovered by Lt. Damon Baird of Kilo Squad.
