Sub-games are small games first introduced in Kirby's Adventure in 1993. They are accessed from the in-game main menu usually titled sub-games in the most recent titles, but certain ones are also called mini-games on the Corkboard of Kirby Super Star and Kirby Super Star Ultra. The two terms are used interchangeably, but generally if being used to differentiate between the two, sub-games refer to those with more depth - i.e. those with several separate levels or stages to them.
