Metrolina Speedway is an auto racing track located in northeast Charlotte, North Carolina on the Metrolina Fairgrounds. The track currently sits abandoned though there are plans in place to revive the facility. The efforts could face legal battles from those who see other uses for the land in ever expanding Charlotte. A soccer team has expressed interest in the speedway, seeking a ground of its own instead of using the standard league fields. The team is not connected with the Charlotte Eagles.
