"Red Storm" Izari (朱嵐のイザリ, Shuran no Izari) is a Jōnin of Sunagakure whose experience, power and age has lead him to be slated as one of the members of the Suna Council. His skill and leadership capabilities as a Shinobi are such that he has been slated as a candidate for the Kazekage position. Alas, the truth behind Izari's identity is more than what meets the eye. Despite Izari's meteoric rise along the Shinobi ranks, his origins are a mystery to all but his former mentor, Samiya. Izari is in-fact the current leader of the Puppet Brigade, a fact only known among its membership.
