Tanekichi Onishi (15 February 1900 – 11 September 2011) was a Japanese supercentenarian who was the second oldest living man in the world and also in Japan at the time of his death. He died at age of 111 years 208 days; coincidentally another Japanese supercentenarian, Kana Nakada, who was born on the same day as him also died on the same day as him. That had only ever happened once before, with Mollie Beard and Vonnie Looney both being born on 4 May 1893 and dying on 3 September 2003 aged 110 years, 123 days and it has never happened since.
