Politorate officers, known as Pols, were members of the Pentastar Alignment's Politorate branch. They were assigned to each vessel and garrison within the Alignment and ensured that all actions undertaken by Alignment personnel were in accordance with the ideals of the New Order. Politorate officers could call for investigations in the loyalty of an personnel and had authority to remove individuals from command positions if deemed necessary.
