The team was comprised of several different spartans, but the Original Shield Team was Paul-A238, Kyle-A245, James-A242, Samuel-B308, Lopez-A232, and Ryan-G272. The team had few deployments throughout the Human-Covenant War but each member had achieved greatness throughout the war before the team was formed. The spartans were not pulled from the companies and participated in large scale operations such as Operation Prometheus and Operation Torpedo. The team was later more prominently active during the later years of the war and Post-War Era.
