The Customs Service was the immigration and customs agency of the New Republic. Created in 14 ABY, the Customs Service was tasked with migration of beings from the Outer Rim Territories into the Colonies and Core Worlds. It was considered to be corrupt by the people who were not let into New Republic space, but it was said to have been generally effective at keeping criminals out of the Republic. Customs employed around 700,000 personnel galaxy wide, and often worked with the New Republic Security Service.
