"So Long, Farewell" is a song performed by the Griffin children for their father's boss Mr. Weed in "Mr. Saturday Knight". The song is originally from The Sound of Music. When the Family Guy producers first requested the rights to use the song they were told they could only use the song if they left it unchanged. The decision was made that the song was random enough to be placed in the episode unchanged. This is one of the few musical segments in the first three seasons where Mila Kunis actually sings.
