The Obelisk Festival was so named by the villagers of Uzushio due to its main event being the Obelisk hunt. It is a festival specific to Uzushiogakure started by Uzumaki Michiko in an effort to create stronger ties between the ninja and civilians of the village. It occurs during the first week of April, a week before students from the shinobi and civilian schools graduates. The festival lasts for three days and ends with a large bonfire that people dance around.
