The IL-5 Ocula, also known to the Galactic Republic as the IL-5 Skybolt, was a starfighter produced by Czerka Corporation. The Republic Military chose to forgo purchasing the Ocula in favor of Corellia StarDrive's designs, but a number of Oculas—redesignated the Skybolt—were utilized by regional governors and admirals. Czerka's first entry into the scout starfighter field, the Ocula was particularly popular with the Sith Empire, who ordered thousands of Oculas through intermediaries. The craft was well-known for its proprietary miniaturization techniques that allowed for almost all popular internal components to be installed.
