A diplomatic mission headed by Pascal Benoit (former French citizen and now assistant secretary of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Iberic Union) arrived in Andorra La Vella in early October. He proposed a territorial division of the ancient region of Catalonia. According to Iberia's terms, Andorra would retain the territories over the years has been gaining in the north of the former province of Lerida. Benoit also pledged to recognize any expansion made (or to be made) in the territory of the former province of Gerona. The rest of Catalonia would be as expansion area of the Iberian Union. The Iberic Union also pledged to not interfere with any future expansion that Andorra may want to do in the former territories of France.
