The RG570L features a basswood body with a one-piece quartersawn maple neck attached with a tilt joint with a metal plate. The Wizard neck has a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. It has Ibanez V1 and V2 humbucking pickups flanking an Ibanez S1 single-coil which are mounted to the body with pickup rings. The bridge is the newly introduced Lo-Pro Edge. Other components include a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines. The RG570L was discontinued after just one year, but another RG570L was offered in 2002 and the similar RG1570L was available after that.
