Born in Salis D'aar on the planet Bakura to parents Drew and Mira Faulkner. His mother died soon after his birth due to complications, and his father blames him for her death. He is the youngest of their two sons, His brother Alex is two years older than him. As a teenager his views differed from that of most of the people on his Imperial ruled planet. He was not mistrustfull of droids nor was he prejudiced against other alien species but he did follow the religion of Cosmic Balance. After competing in various tests as per the Rule of the Feather and Bowl where his brother proved the better and he recieved a golden bowl. Soon after that, he chose to leave the faith rather than become a servant of priests. Shortly afterwards, he began openly speaking out against the injustices of the Empire
