A quarter-sector away from Caspia, the Yariz star system is much like Caspia in astronomical makeup. Astronomers now speculate that Yariz and Solus are "sibling stars", born from the same nebula at roughly the same time. Unlike the Solus star system, Yariz's few planets appear infertile or exhausted. Several exhibit traits of volcanism (such as Picon Yar) and tremendous seismic activity — Baikoun Yar, in fact, is so rife with earthquakes and tectonic activity, many are advised against visiting. The lone hospitable planet, Kasputin Yar, is an odd, eerie world and home to the sole sentient native species, the Yari.
