Communications Bunker 71 was a communications installation built on Varelo Mesa on the planet Makeb, at the foot of Gravity Hook 7. The bunker was one of many such installations across Makeb that were used by the InterStellar Regulators, the planet's mercenary defense force that was bought off by the Hutt Cartel prior to the Conquest of Makeb. When the Sith Empire covertly took control of the gravity hook, they captured the bunker and the others on the mesa.
