Air Runes are one of the four basic elemental runes. They are used to cast Wind attacks. They can be runecrafted at the Air Alter by any player, as the runecrafting level requirement is 1. Runecrafting air runes gives 5 runecrafting experience per rune essence. The air altar is currently west of Varrock. Air Runes are the current most traded rune in Runescape. If a staff of air is wielded, a player does not need air runes to cast air spells.
