In "An Apocalypse to Remember", Stan Smith was fooled into thinking that all of civilization had been destroyed due to a nuclear holocaust, and took his family into the woods, leaving behind Roger and Klaus. After Roger calls Stan on his cell phone and tells him it was just a drill, Stan doesn't tell his family the world hasn't ended and doesn't want them to know that he goes searching for food at a summer camp.
