Barleyburr was a male hedgehog in Baron Drucco's tribe, and acted as a scout. Barleyburr and another scout called Shunko had discovered a ford a few days before Drucco's hogs met Jukka the Sling and her tribe and this helped in solving the riddle of the location of King Bucko Bigbones court.
