These beaks really do seem similar to that of a bird, while it has the wings of a bat. Why on Etherea wouldn't the mimic just resemble a bat, what's the need for also being like an owl? And why do they resemble our ancient native animals in the first place? We still have so many questions... It just dosen't make any sense why these creatures look like they do.
